New governance for innovation: The need for horizontal and systemic policy coordination Jointly organized by Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research (ISI) and the Department of Innovation Studies of the Copernicus Institute for Sustainable Development and Innovation at the University of Utrecht, this 6CP workshop discussed the rationale behind new systemic modes of governance for innovation, and explored models, cases and early experiences of such governance. Stretching over two days and involving around 50 analysts and policy makers, the workshop offered a unique opportunity for creative brainstorming, open discussion of typical policy deadlocks and exploration of new avenues for policy co-ordination.
